    What Our Customers Say

Great experience all the way around. My water heater leaked and I called several places for pricing – big shops, little shops. While the big guys with the big trucks tended to be super expensive, L&P was right in the line with other independent plumbing companies. I went with L&P because I liked their responsiveness and great customer service. They also didn’t try to oversell me.

I am so impressed with these two guys — Fabian is the owner, and he was very thorough in telling me what needed to be done, how much it would cost, etc.; I also got some gratis plumbing lessons! Their prices are very reasonable. We had complete blockage In one drain, and some blockage in other parts of the system, and they reamed everything out and replaced the trap under the sink.

The service and work that I received from L&P Plumbing was outstanding. I will absolutely be hiring them again. Everyone that I have worked with here is friendly, professional, courteous, high-quality, responsive, and diligent. Without a doubt, I trust them 100%. Thanks Fabian, Baker, and Kevin for taking such great care with me and with my home.

I am incredibly impressed by the professionalism and top notch service! When I called, they answered every question I had and gave me a price right away. I was going to shop but after the call, I decided to move forward. They arrived exactly when they promised, they were super friendly and did a great job. It is obvious they care about customer service and they will be my only call from now on.

    FAQs

Plumbing problems never come at a good time. They’re extremely frustrating and stressful, especially when you can’t use your toilet, sink, shower, dishwasher or washing machine! It helps to be prepared ahead of time for any eventuality, which is why we have compiled this list of the most frequently asked questions that we get from our clients. And while we suggest you always call your trusted professional plumber in Austin if you encounter a plumbing issue, we also know it’s valuable for you to have a sense of what you’re facing before calling for a replacement or repair.

    What constitutes a plumbing emergency?

Most plumbers, L&P Plumbing included, offer emergency services 24/7. An emergency would be an event that poses an immediate danger to your property that you can’t get under control on your own, such as a burst pipe, flooding, or sewer backup. In this case, whether it happens at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., you should call the emergency services line and a plumber will be sent to you immediately no matter the time. Other plumbing issues may constitute an urgent request, such as a water heater malfunction in the dead of winter. While not technically an emergency to justify calling a plumber in the middle of the night, it can wait till morning and be classified as an urgent request. Just remember, you will likely pay more for emergency services, especially if they occur after hours or on weekends.

Why are my water bills suddenly so high?

There could be a few reasons as to why your water bills are starting to increase, and there are some things you can do to troubleshoot the issue. First, check if your toilet is leaking. Is the water in the tank overflowing into the overflow pipe? In If so, you can adjust the fill valve to stop the water about an inch below the tube or the stamped water level mark on the tank’s side. Other potential reasons why your water bills are rising so drastically is that you have a slab leak, which is very hard to detect unless you have the proper tools. Irrigation leaks, leaking pipes and faucet fixtures, and old, outdated fixtures could all be to blame as well.

How do I unclog my drain?

Clogged drains are the most common problem we see here at L&P. Before you call us, try a couple things on your own first. Use a plunger, clean the drain trap, remove the trap bend, or snake the drain. If you need to break up a sink clog of hair and other debris, for instance, pour a mixture of baking soda and vinegar down the drain, let it sit, then pour boiling water down the drain to break up the clog.

Why don’t I have any hot water?

There are a few reasons why you aren’t getting hot water out of your faucet or shower. It could be due to a tank leak, gas leak, water heater malfunction, gas valve failure, malfunctioning thermostat, or a tank that is too small for your family’s needs.

Why is my water heater leaking?

The top causes of water heater leaks include broken drain valves, corrosion in the tank, loose water line connections, and broken temperature or pressure valves. If you water heater is failing, give us a call right away so you’re not without hot water for long.
